Looking for a BuddyHelp alternative?
BuddyHelp is a free, non-profit chat run by the Mind Well Foundation, where people going through a hard time talk with volunteer listeners who have taken a short course in active listening. If you would like to vent, or be the one who listens, with no forms at all, Zuzu may be a good fit.
Talk, or be the listener
- Vent to be heard, or tap Listen and be there for someone yourself, with nothing to apply for.
- Everything happens right on zuzu.club, with no messaging apps in between.
- A random name every visit, and chats are not saved when they end.
- Report and Block in every chat, plus a gentle helpline card if someone may be in danger.
- If no person is free, the Zuzu AI Companion keeps you company, clearly labelled as AI.
- Free and ad-free, like BuddyHelp, with Let Go and the Sky of Thoughts for quiet moments.
When BuddyHelp may suit you better
BuddyHelp listeners apply and complete training in active listening and psychological first aid. On Zuzu, listeners are kind strangers without formal training. If talking with a trained volunteer matters to you, BuddyHelp may suit you better. BuddyHelp is for adults (18 and over).
A gentle note
Zuzu is peer support, not therapy or a crisis service. If you are in danger, please contact local emergency services or a crisis helpline.
