Why Chat Hour
I was looking for a way to help more conversations happen on Zuzu. So I chose one common time in the day and one at night, when people can come together and connect.
I know these hours won’t suit everyone, and for some of you they will land at odd times. As Zuzu grows, I will keep improving this and make it work for more places.

Questions
What is Zuzu’s Chat Hour?
Zuzu’s Chat Hour ⏳💬 is 60 minutes, twice a day, when people come to Zuzu at the same time to talk and listen. With more people here at once, venters find a listener faster and listeners find someone who needs them. It is the same moment everywhere in the world, and Zuzu shows it in your own time.
When is Chat Hour in my time?
Chat Hour starts at 06:00 and 18:00 UTC every day and lasts an hour. For example, that is 11:30 AM and 11:30 PM in India, 7 AM and 7 PM in the United Kingdom in summer, and 2 AM and 2 PM on the US East Coast in summer. The Chat Hour page reads your device time zone, shows both times for you with a countdown, and lets you tap the world map to see any other place.
Can I chat outside Chat Hour?
Yes, always. Chat Hour is simply when the most people are here. Outside it you may wait a little longer. If nobody is free for about 10 seconds, Zuzu tells you when the next Chat Hour starts, and the AI Companion is there if you would rather not wait.
How do Chat Hour reminders work?
On the Chat Hour page, pick one or both Chat Hours and choose a reminder 10 minutes before or when it starts. Your browser asks for permission first. Zuzu keeps only an anonymous address for your device to send the reminder, never your name, email or phone number, and you can turn it off on the same page. On iPhone, reminders work once Zuzu is added to your Home Screen. You can also add Chat Hour to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook instead.
